Governor’s Service Award

Governor’s Service Award

Congratulations to Rick Bailey & Lynn Lederer

We are pleased to announce that two of our volunteers, Rick Bailey and Lynn Lederer, were awarded the Governor’s Volunteer Service Award.

Since 2018, RIck has been a member of our Volunteer Driver Team. In the past year alone, Rick has assisted with nearly 100 trips throughout our 16-county service area. As Rick always says, “I’m going to do all that I can to help, no matter what, because people need to eat.”

Lynn, a long term volunteer, was one of the first volunteers trained to work on the Helpline. When volunteering, she assists with applications, fields calls and serves as a packet specialist. Lynn is an absolute joy to be around and a truly dedicated volunteer.

The Governor’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes individuals that make a significant contribution to their community through volunteer service. We are so happy that these two incredible volunteers have been recognized for their passion and dedication to increasing our neighbors’ access to food.
