Mark your calendars for MANNA FoodBank’s best-yet Empty Bowls soiree!

Food lovers, artisan craft collectors, and those passionate about getting good food to people who need it come together for our annual Empty Bowls events, MANNA’s anchor event for September, which is Hunger Action Month across the nation.

This year marks the 14th year of this wonderful fundraiser! As in years past, you have a choice of attending lunch or dinner, both on Monday, September 14th. Join us in our efforts to fill empty bowls across Western North Carolina!

Lunch
Time: 11:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
Place: Doubletree by Hilton Asheville-Biltmore Hotel

Dinner
Time: 5:30 P.M. – 7:30 P.M.
Place: Hilton Asheville Biltmore Park
43 Town Square Boulevard

Adult tickets are $35, include a bowl of your choice handmade by local artisans, and a meal of soup, bread, and dessert. The bowl serves as a reminder of all the empty bowls in our area, across our nation, and throughout the world. Kids tickets* (ages 8-15) are $10, for the meal only, and kids 7 and under eat for free.
*Kids tickets do not come with a bowl.

***Our sincere apologies to our Jewish friends for inadvertently scheduling this event during Rosh Hashanah.

The event features food from top local restaurants, fabulous live music, and the Collector’s Corner, where pottery collectors and enthusiasts can find high-end handcrafted pottery. All proceeds from the event go straight to the work of ending hunger in WNC.

Brian McCarthy, Paul Frehe, Tisha Cooke and other members of the Odyssey Center for Ceramic Arts; Lori Theriault and the Village Potters; and dozens of other potters whose bowls are still arriving daily.
