Blue Jean Ball

The Blue Jean Ball is held annually on MANNA FoodBank’s campus. Ticket holders enjoy small tasting plates from Asheville’s finest restaurants and caterers, a varied selection of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, and great live music that packs the dance floor every year. Blue Jean Ball is MANNA’s largest fundraising event. Every dollar raised or donated to the food bank helps provide enough food for 4 meals. Current estimates in our region indicate that over 100,000 people in Western North Carolina don’t have continuous access to three square meals a day. MANNA partners with 200+ agencies to get food to neighbors facing hunger throughout the 16 counties in WNC, including the Qualla Boundary.

March 2022 Update: As we welcome spring and look toward summer plans, MANNA has received many questions about the status of our beloved Blue Jean Ball. This truly warms our hearts, because it reaffirms what we know to be true: Blue Jean Ball is an important piece of this community and a well-loved “party with a purpose!” Although we feel the same, MANNA is faced with some realities. Our critical space constraints at our current facility, coupled with significant budget implications if we were to take the event offsite, means that sadly, we are unable to hold Blue Jean Ball in 2022.

However, the great news is that we are already dreaming about the day when we can gather 1,000 of our close friends again, and what a HOMECOMING our next Blue Jean Ball will be! May the MANNA stars align for a 2023 comeback!

To our long-time Blue Jean Ball supporters, guests, sponsors, and culinary partners, we thank you for your abiding friendship and support for our neighbors facing food insecurity across WNC. We could not do it without all of you, and we can’t wait to see you at our next Blue Jean Ball! To keep this amazing event alive in your hearts and minds, we invite you to take a walk down memory lane as a reminder of all of the incredible food, fun, and festivities we’ve had!
