About Feeding America Recall Notices: The Feeding America national office issues notifications of all national Class I and II recalls–those involving a health hazard situation in which there is reasonable probability that eating the food will cause health problems or death–and other recalls that may affect the safety of food supplied to network members.
The acronym FANO seen in some recall notices stands for Feeding America National Office.

ACH Food Companies, Inc. Issues Voluntary Recall of Salad Toppings Due to Possible Health Risk Related to Sunflower Seeds - 6/6/16
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – ACH Food Companies, Inc. of Memphis, TN is recalling Durkee® Salad Topping, Food Club® branded Salad Topping and Hy-Vee® Garden Style Salad Topping because it has the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
Recalled products can be identified on the Durkee® Salad Topping and the Food Club Salad Topping by the “Best By” date and the Hy-Vee product can be identified by its lot code. This information is printed in black ink on the bottom of the plastic product container.Read More
Updated: Hickory Harvest Expands Recall of Certain Sunflower Kernel Products Because of Possible Listeria Monocytogenes - 6/6/16
Akron, OH, – Hickory Harvest Foods, under advice from its sunflower kernel supplier, SunOpta, is expanding their recall of a limited number of products that have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. These items are in addition to the items recalled on May 4, 2016 and May 20, 2016.
The additional products were packaged at, or distributed from Hickory Harvest between the dates of June 22,2015 and May 31,2016.Read More
Gold Medal, Gold Medal Wondra, and Signature Kitchens Flour Recalled Due to Possible E. coli O121 Contamination - 6/1/16
MINNEAPOLIS – General Mills is collaborating with health officials to investigate an ongoing, multistate outbreak of E. coli O121 that may be potentially linked to Gold Medal flour, Wondra flour, and Signature Kitchens flour (sold in Safeway, Albertsons, Jewel, Shaws, Vons, United, Randalls, and Acme).
The recall affects the following retail flour products that could be currently in stores or in consumers’ pantries. It includes 6 SKUs (stock keeping units or UPC codes) of Gold Medal Flour, 2 SKU’s of Signature Kitchens Flour and 1 SKU of Gold Medal Wondra flour.Read More
